The Philadelphia Orchestra partners with the Philadelphia 76ers

(Philadelphia, December 20, 2011)--The Philadelphia 76ers Chief Executive Officer and co-Owner Adam Aron announced today that "American Idol" Season Five finalist Ayla Brown and the world-renowned Philadelphia Orchestra, led by Music Director Designate Yannick Nézet-Séguin, will partner to provide fans with an exceptional National Anthem performance at Sixers home games this season. Brown will accompany live a video of The Philadelphia Orchestra performing “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

"It will be a unique thrill for Sixers fans to hear the world-renowned Philadelphia Orchestra play the National Anthem, accompanied live by Ayla Brown,” Aron said. “With a stirring arrangement recorded specifically for the Sixers, this combination is likely to give you goose bumps. What a way to start games at the Wells Fargo Center.”

The announcement of Brown as the team's new anthem singer and the partnership with The Philadelphia Orchestra comes at a time when the Sixers new ownership group has pledged to make wide-ranging improvements to the game experience at the Wells Fargo Center for the upcoming 2011-12 NBA season.
